We’re very excited to announce the release of the new [brain-map.org](http://brain-map.org) ecosystem - it replaces the pages previously available under [portal.brain-map.org](http://portal.brain-map.org). Scientists continue to have access to the same high quality data and breadth of resources they’ve grown accustomed to from the Allen Institute for Brain Science in a more accessible and modern format.

## Find resources using your language with free text search

Scientists can now query brain-map using their search terms via the new free text search capabilities. Search [brain-map.org](http://brain-map.org) pages to find relevant datasets and contextual resources.

Access search from the home page, header navigation across the site, or the [dedicated search page](https://brain-map.org/search).

## New indexes of key resources like taxonomies, documentation, community tools

[Brain-map.org](http://Brain-map.org) now consolidates a wide variety of resources in concise and easy-to-search index pages. Use faceted search and free text search to find relevant resources and get the most out of brain-map resources.

Browse the indexes for:

- [Cell Type Taxonomies](https://brain-map.org/our-research/cell-types-taxonomies/taxonomies-index) (learn more about key reference taxonomies)
- [Tutorials & How-Tos](https://brain-map.org/support/tutorials) (step-by-step instructions for how to use brain-map resources for specific use cases)
- [Documentation](https://brain-map.org/support/documentation) (product centric docs that outline the general capabilities of brain-map resources)
- [Community Tools](https://brain-map.org/support/community-tools) (third party tools that are build on brain-map data)
