A question from one of our users:

> I would like to identify all the genes expressed in the mouse cortex at E11.5. Is there a programmatical tool alternative to AGEA

Expert-guided manual annotation of the Developing Mouse ISH data was performed to accurately assign gene expression metrics to specific brain areas. This work was performed by using the
expertise of Dr. Salvador Martinez at the Neurosciences Institute, Miguel Hernandez University and CSIC in Alicante, Spain.

You get get more details about the annotation in this [whitepaper](https://help.brain-map.org/download/attachments/4325389/DevMouse_Annotation.pdf).

You can access the annotation on the [web application by selecting “Annotation Search”](http://developingmouse.brain-map.org/search/index) or programmatically [using the API](http://help.brain-map.org/display/devmouse/API#API-ExpertManualAnnotation).
