# How to: Browse Specimen Information

Researchers [exploring specimens in the Brain Knowledge Platform](https://community.brain-map.org/t/how-to-explore-specimen-data/1092) can browse information in table format. Researchers can also toggle the view to [browse specimen visualizations](https://community.brain-map.org/t/how-to-browse-specimen-visualizations/1094), when available.

The website presents a default set of properties for each project. Researchers can [change the properties](https://community.brain-map.org/t/how-to-choose-specimen-properties/1095) in view to suit their research interests. Hover over any property to see a brief explanation.
