Hello,

I’m a research student working on spike sorting validation.
I noticed that the downloadable NWB files from the provided dataset already contain Kilosort-processed and curated data.

Could you please let me know if it’s possible to access the **raw `.bin` recordings** (before Kilosort) for testing and comparing my own spike sorting pipeline?

Thank you very much for your help!

Best,

Hi Jingxuan,

You can find raw binary files for the Visual Behavior Neuropixels data on S3 here (.dat files):

s3://allen-brain-observatory/visual-behavior-neuropixels/raw-data/

And raw files for the Visual Coding Neuropixels dataset here:

s3://allen-brain-observatory/visual-coding-neuropixels/raw-data

If you’re not accustomed to using S3, this link might be helpful for browsing these buckets and downloading individual files manually:

> Quilt is a versioned data portal for AWS. Quilt integrates files into datasets that your whole company can discover, understand, and trust. Quilt is instant infrastructure to bring discoveries to market faster.
