This data release features neuropathology images from the Seattle Alzheimer’s Disease Brain Cell Atlas (SEA-AD) project for two new brain regions of interest: Superior Temporal Gyrus (STG) and Prefrontal cortex (PFC).

It expands the Seattle Alzheimer’s Disease Brain Cell Atlas (SEA-AD) neuropathology image portfolio from Medial Entorhinal Cortex, Hippocampus (MEC-HIP) and Middle Temporal Gyrus (MTG), to additional regions of interest.

Users can now examine human brain tissue sections stained for key pathological proteins and cell types of interest in Alzheimer’s disease from brain regions across the frontal and temporal lobes, and compare with other study data including clinical metadata and single nucleus genomics.

Data and specimens were derived from donors from the Adult Changes in Thought (ACT) Study from Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute (KPWRI), and the University of Washington Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC). These datasets are available under Allen Terms of Use.

## View the images in the Data Catalog’s specimen viewer

1. Go to the [SEA-AD specimen inventory](https://knowledge.brain-map.org/data/JGN327NUXRZSHEV88TN/specimens).
2. Click on a row in the specimen inventory’s data table to select a specimen of interest.
3. Navigate to the _Images_ tab in the info side-panel.
4. Select your region of interest and desired slide from the dropdown.
