Is human microarray expression service down/deprecated?

Dear Allen Team,

I have been using the allen api (https://api.brain-map.org/api/v2) and human_microarray_expression service as described here Human Brain Atlas: API. However, for about a month now, my queries to the human_microarray_expression service returns an error such as (using the example in the post) Error in query: service::human_microarray_expression[probes$eq1023146,1023147][donors$eq15496][structures$eq9148], Informatics service request failed..

I cannot find any information on the status of the service and all the related links are broken. Is this service deprecated? If so, could you please point me towards an alternative if there is any?

Happy holidays!

Hi @AhmetN: you can access all of the human microarray data from the Allen Human Brain Atlas on the download page, here: Microarray Data Download :: Allen Brain Atlas: Human Brain. I don’t know exactly what the API gives you but I suspect it is a subset of the data in these files. We’ll look into the API issue, but given the holidays it may not be for a couple of weeks. Happy holidays!

Thank you very much for the quick reply, @jeremyinseattle!
Understandable for sure. Looking forward to your feedback about the state of the API
