DRG (dorsal root ganglion) sc/sn RNAseq profiling from NHP and humans

Dear Allen Brain Institute and Community,
I am looking for sc/snRNAseq of human and/or NHP DRG. Although, anatomically, this is not CNS, but PNS, due to similarity in cell types/connection with CNS, I wonder if somebody who’s working on brain RNAseq might also be aware of RNAseq from DRG.
Thank you very much.

Hi Eugenia,

We aren’t anyone working on sc/snRNA-seq of DRG in human or NHP. As you may know, there have been several publications on mouse DRG, including one from Sten Linnarsson’s group at Karolinska (https://www.nature.com/articles/nn.3881). It may be worthwhile contacting them to see if they are doing any work in human. This paper might also be of use: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6008200/. It covers a comparative analysis between mouse and human DRG using RNA-seq, although not at the level of single cells.

Tyler, thank you very much for your response. Yes, I’ve seen the papers you suggested and also reached out to Linnarsson lab DRG paper authors. Fingers crossed:-)
