File download format

For the expression, probe, and columns files when downloading the microarray data from the Web Portal for gene classes, or differential searches, could the files be in .txt or .csv format? Currently they are in Microsoft excel format, and require IDE packages like Panda for Python to open and read them.

Hi @GerrikLabra. When you download expression data using a “Download this data button”, the “Expression.csv”, “Columns.csv”, and “Probes.csv” files located within the downloaded zip file are csv files already. While it is possible to open them in Microsoft Excel (and I often do!) there is no requirement to do so. You can also download all the data in the relevant Download table (e.g., here for the adult human brain atlas) or in data packages associated with the R library atlasplot which provides additional data visualizations.

I get that? Whats wrong?
