Base pair-level visualization of several single cell/nucleus RNA-seq taxonomies are now available through the UCSC Genome Browser. To access this new tool, go to the Allen Cell Types Database: RNA-seq data, click on the “Genome Browser” button for the taxonomy of interest, and then follow the directions on the landing page. Gene expression tracks for each cell type and for groups of related cell types (called “subclass”) are available for joint visualization, which will allow exploration of questions of differential exon uses and alternative splicing, and comparison to >100 public tracks.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about the genome browsers, please respond to this post. We would love feedback on ways to make this a more valuable resource!
