Which MNI152 template was used for the AHBA mni_x/y/z coordinates?

Hi everyone,

I’m working with the Allen Human Brain Atlas (AHBA) microarray dataset and would like to clarify the exact standard space used for the sample coordinates in SampleAnnot.csv.

Specifically, I’m referring to the original Allen-released mni_x, mni_y, and mni_z coordinates.

A recent analysis suggests that both the original Allen coordinates and the alleninf coordinates may target the MNI152 6th-generation nonlinear asymmetric template (MNI152NLin6Asym, or nlin6asym).

Could anyone confirm whether nlin6asym was indeed the target template used for the original AHBA MNI coordinates?

I’m specifically interested in the coordinate definition of the original Allen-released data itself, rather than the transformations or templates adopted by later studies.

If there is any Allen documentation or preprocessing record that specifies the exact template, I would also really appreciate a pointer to it.
