Problem selecting MERFISH cells for download (again)

Hello again. Back in March, I had a problem where I couldn’t select cells to download if any of the corner checkboxes were selected to highlight specific brain sections. Kudos to you folks for fixing that within a few weeks of being reported!

Today I noticed that if I select a specific gene to display, the selection tool also fails, and the entire page crashes with a “Something went wrong…” error. Web link and screenshot are pasted below. The crash occurs as soon as I try to drag out the rectangle, i.e. as soon as the mouse has moved even one pixel after first selecting the corner.

This occurs on multiple computers and multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox). It does not seem to matter what gene is selected, or what database is being viewed. Reloading the page, restarting the browser, rebooting the computer, and clearing cache/cookies/history do not help.

Strangely, the selection tool will occasionally work correctly in this situation, but only transiently. Within a minute or so it will fail again and does not recover.

Thank you again for your consideration,

Hi Tom!

Thank you for your interest in the ABC Atlas, and apologies for the trouble! I appreciate your detailed description of the problem. Our engineers have found the source of this issue and are working on a fix. I’ll follow up on this post again once that fix has been deployed.

Thanks,
