Visualising gene enrichment results in the developing brain

Hi,

I recently used the ABA enrichment R package to test whether genes identified in my study are enriched in the brain tissue regions collected by Brain Span. To provide a visual representation of these results, I was wondering whether there were any atlases available for me to map the brain regions identified by this enrichment analysis?

Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm, are you using the ABAEnrichment package? If so, this is something generated from folks outside the Allen Institute and I’d suggest pointing this post to those authors to address directly if you’d like to use that library.

We have also written an R package called atlasplot for access and visualization of data for the historic Allen Brain Atlases (including BrainSpan) which would be a good starting point to address your request. The Gene Knowledge Cards web tool wraps these (and a few other) gene-based plots and statistics in a single place that does not required coding knowledge to use.
