The ABC Atlas has been updated to allow users to share and export each frame in a view separately.
Share and export by frame
Previously, the share icon copied a single link for your entire view straight to your clipboard, and data download links lived separately in the Dataset info panel. Now the share icon opens a Share panel that brings these together. The link for your whole view stays at the top, and below it each frame in your layout has its own share URL, data download links, and color export options so you can send a colleague one specific visualization instead of your entire layout.
To share a single frame:
- Click the share icon on the left to open the Share panel.
- Under Share and export by frame, find the frame you want by its title.
- Click the copy icon to the right of that frame’s URL.
Click “More” below any URL to see the full link, and “Less” to collapse it again.
Please note, a frame URL opens in a single-pane layout. It restores only that frame, not the rest of your layout. To share everything, use the link under Share the entire view at the top of the panel or copy it straight from your browser’s address bar.
Export colors
Each frame section has a collapsible Export colors group. All colors exports every color currently applied in that frame. Overridden colors exports only the colors you have changed yourself. Both are available as CSV or JSON.
To export colors for a frame:
- In that frame’s section, click Export colors to expand it.
- Click CSV or JSON on the row you want.
Please note, the Overridden colors buttons stay unavailable until you have overridden at least one color in that frame.
As always, thank you for being part of the Allen Institute community. Please let us know how we can improve the ABC Atlas to better serve your needs.
