The ABC Atlas has been updated to allow users to apply more than one gene filter to the same view.
Filtering by multiple genes
Previously ABC Atlas was limited to one gene expression filter at a time. Now, you can filter to specific minimum and maximum gene expression for multiple genes. This lets you filter your view down to just the cells that coexpress those genes.
To apply multiple gene filters:
- Go to the Genes panel by clicking the helix icon on the left
- In the Search bar type your genes of interest and select to add or use the “Add batch” button to add a comma separated list of genes all at once.
- Click the arrow to the left of each gene name to expose the histograms.
- Click on the histogram to add a filter and drag the min and max lines to adjust.
- Repeat step 4 for each gene you’d like filtered.
Please note, you can still only select one gene or other feature to color the cells in the view by. In the example above, there are minimum expression filters applied for two genes and the cells are colored by Cell Type group.
As always, thank you for being part of the Allen Institute community. Please let us know how we can improve the ABC Atlas to better serve your needs.
