The Allen Institute for Brain Science is thrilled to announce the release of Retrograde Connectivity data through the Data Catalog. The Retrograde Connectivity data release provides Neuroglancer-based views of 249 TissueCyte datasets and associated experiment metadata in the form of a downloadable CSV. These data were described in a landmark 2023 paper which detailed systematic, brain-wide mapping of monosynaptic input connections to genetically defined neuronal populations using an optimized rabies tracing system. The raw image files have been available at the Brain Image Library since the paper publication. Now, this release enables the scientific community to easily explore these foundational datasets in Neuroglancer.
